Galactic Center from Geology Road in Joshua Tree National Park

The first day of February isn’t typically regarded as the best time to photograph the galactic center. The sun is still relatively close to the brightest part of the galaxy in the sky so there is only a very short window of time to photograph it before the sun rises. This photo was taken from Geology Tour Road in Joshua Tree National Park at 5:30 am, just as the sun started to brighten the sky.
