Day two. This was an easy and obvious one. Nothing special, just a self portrait standing on the Santa Monica Beach at the end of the day. It’s a full moon tonight so the tide was as low as it goes at sunset. It’s funny how you learn these things when you constantly watch the moon cycle. The mirror sand stretched for a hundred feet out to the Pacific which would, on occasion make a run to try and catch my feet. There were a plethora of photographers on the beach this evening, some professional, some amateur. Newly engaged couples getting their portrait taken, the guy with the 300mm telephoto lens and a big hotshoe flash trying to light the sunset, and a father trying to get his daughters to stay still for a snapshot.
Also, today, I got my first commercial videography payout for an upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland ad campaign. I also posted a long term review of the Fujifilm X-E1 on Lonely Speck.
